Soil Testing
Soil Analysis for a Healthier Lawn
Soil testing is a process that assesses the composition and quality of your soil. By analyzing factors such as nutrient levels, pH balance, and organic matter content, it helps determine the specific needs of your lawn. When we have this information we are able to develop a personalized package for your lawn.
Why Should I Get My Soil Tested?
Soil testing offers a precise look at the health of the soil beneath your lawn or garden. It is important to get it tested so that you use the proper fertilizer to restore or maintain the health of your soil. Without testing, chemical applications are being blindly applied to your soil and it’s a guess on if it will be beneficial or harmful to your lawn. With a soil test, we can customize your chemical plan so that your lawn is as healthy as can be.
How Does Soil Testing Work?
We take a sample, or several samples, from your yard and identify where the key nutrients (lime, magnesium, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and other organic matter) are sitting. Once we have tested the soil, we will have a clear picture of what your lawn needs. We can also test problem areas to see if you need spot treatments throughout your lawn to restore the balance of nutrients there so it can thrive.
How Often Do I Need a Soil Test?
Your soil should be tested every three years for a healthy lawn and annually if you have problem areas. The soil changes over time and it’s important to make sure that we are caring for your lawn the proper way.
